After being BurstNet customer for 7 months our blog service was unceremoniously terminated without any prior notification. The situation were extensively covered by press: NY Times, CNN, BBC, Fox News, CNET, etc.

I tried very hard to get our data back and finally BurstNet have admitted their mistake and have return our data:

“We admitted a mistake was made. This was the first time we had seen this particular request. It was identified incorrectly in our system and we communicated it incorrectly to blogetery.com. We’ve updated our policy and procedures and We’ve apologized for the mistake…”

I was working last two weeks to recover Blogetery blog service. Also I’ve added many new features and improvements: like forums, groups, etc.

Next week I will deploy bullet-proof backup system: all images and media files will be uploaded to Amazon S3 storage in real-time; database will be replicating to slave server and database dumps will be transferred to S3 storage daily.

Amazon S3 provides a simple web services interface that can be used to store and retrieve any amount of data, at any time, from anywhere on the web. Amazon S3 provides a highly durable storage infrastructure designed for mission-critical and primary data storage. Objects are redundantly stored on multiple devices across multiple facilities.

Thank you for bearing with us!
