Tips to Increase Your AdSense Revenue
Make content rich websites
This means that content-rich websites of a popular topic should attract a large amount of ads.
Write a new page every day
One of the best tips is to add a new page to your web site every day. The more content you have, the more visitors you will get.
Choose the right AdSense format
Try using the 336×280 large rectangle, 300×250 medium rectangle, or 160×600 wide skyscraper as they have proved to have the best conversion rate.
Color tips
When creating your Google AdSense ads it is recommended to use the color scheme and style of your blog so that the ads blend in well. Ads without background color and borders perfom better than ads within borders with background color.
Position tips
For short articles, CTR is best when ads are placed just above the content. For long articles, CTR improves if ads are placed somewhere in middle of the content. Always put ads above the main fold.
Try to experiment, move your adsense ads through your webpage. You will get a better understanding about your CTR.
Pro users can use Google AdSense to automatically serve relevant ads for the content on your blogs. Google pays AdSense publishers on a per click basis. Those ads are specifically optimized to allow better penetration of the ads. Any click on those ads will generate a revenue and 100% of the revenue generated from these ads will be credited to your account.
How it works:
- Get Google AdSense account if you already don’t have one.
- Go to Tools > AdSense Ads and add your AdSense Publisher ID.
- By default all templates already have ads blended with colors of your blog template. If you like it you can leave it as it is.
- If you want to show your own ad blocks you can create custom ad blocks on “Tools > AdSense Ads” page:
- To show default or custom (you’ve created in previous step) blocks in your sidebars use AdSense widget:
- To embed ads into post/page content use AdSense button in WYSIWYG editor:
- Or you can use Auto Embedding feature to insert your add before or after post content automatically:
Don’t click on your own ads – Google is much smarter than you think and can discover invalid clicks through IP addresses, site navigation patterns, etc.
The best way to avoid clicking on your own ads is to not click on ANY ad on the blog you own.
